Ayia Napa in the past was a small fishing village and relied heavily on revenue from the local fishing industry. That was then, but now it has become one of the single most popular destinations in the whole of Europe. Part of the attraction to the town is that it genuinely has one of the best beaches in the world, with gently sloping beaches and shimmering, turquoise waters in a calm bay you could be just about anywhere in the world. The night life for the young and old is second to none and draws comparisons with Ibiza. The town is full of many restaurants, themed bars and clubs.

The other amenities include all the water sports and attractions you could wish for as well a being at the centre of what most people believe to be the best area in Cyprus, because the island can be traversed in roughly two hours you are in reach of pretty much all of the Islands attractions from Ayia Napa, If you like entertainment packed evenings and a laid back atmosphere then this is the place to be. After a hard night drinking, clubbing or partying, you can go for a walk down the beach to gather you senses and the beach is just as magnificent at night as it is in the day.

There are of course many alternatives to the frenzied party atmosphere and if you move more to the outskirts of the town you can have a more laid back evening if you wish. We however believe that to truly experience Cyprus then a visit or break to this magnificent town is a must!
