The golf club within the Secret Valley is one of the most scenic golf courses in Cyprus. The course is centrally located in the vicinity of Petra Tou Romiou, the fabled birth place of Aphrodite. The Secret Valley is situated roughly 15km east of Paphos.
Officially the Secret Valley golf course was opened in 1996 and was designed by Iacovos Iacovou. Nestled in a scenic, fertile and peaceful location, the golf course offers panoramic views, grand trees and striking rock formations as a backdrop.
Measuring 5,904 m, the golf course plays to a par 71. All players lacking a handicap can only play in the afternoon depending on the availability and a nice request.
Facilities available at the Secret Valley include a club house, pro shop, locker rooms, bar, restaurant, (overlooking the golf course), putting greens, chipping areas, fairway bunkers, large driving range, buggy and trolley rental and private tuition.
The golf course is due to be renovated/revamped and eventually it is hoped that there would be a total of 3 golf courses. However, plans for these seem to have been delayed.
Property in the Secret Valley
There are a selection of villas available in the Secret Valley offering some of the cheapest property of any golf course in Cyprus. There are good value villas in this region, starting from as little as 200-000 Euros. The properties are great for a residential purchase or for a holiday home. As investment property, a purchase here will only pay dividends in about 5-10 years. Unless all the plans are rushed through.
